Grading Policy
Below you will find our condition guidelines for trading card games. Any trading card single purchased from Gamer's Inn should conform to these guidelines. If you feel you have received an item below our advertised standards please review our return policy for additional details on how to resolve the issue.
Trading Card Games:
Near Mint
Near Mint condition cards have little to no visible blemishes. Any wear to the card is very minor and generally unnoticeable without close examination. Near mint cards may have the following imperfections, but generally will not contain more than one:
- Light edge wear
- Negligible surface wear
- Slight clouding of foils
- Slight curving of foils
Played
Played condition cards will have visible defects, but will be of sufficient quality to play sleeved in tournaments. You willl find these cards commonly referred to as "SP" or "MP" condition. Defects you may find on played condition cards are:
- Signatures
- Pro Tour/event stamps
- Light to moderate dirt build up
- Minor dings in the surface or edge of the card
- Light to moderate scratching/scuffing on surface
- Light to moderate corner/surface/edge wear
- Light to moderate creasing (ie. slightly bent corners, shuffle creasing)
- Minor discoloration
- Minor surface whitening
- Moderate foil clouding
- Moderate foil curving
- Binder ring dings/imprints
- Negligible water damage/inking
Gamer's Inn does not sell cards with the following defects:
- Non-artist signatures
- Writing or doodling
- Tears/rips
- Major inking/water damage
- Foils with severe curving/warping
- Foils with peeling layers
- Heavy creasing
- Punctures
- Counterfeit
