Happy Birthday Gamer's Inn! It is hard to believe that it has already been three years. We can not thank you all enough for the support that you have shown us here over that time. We have loved every minute of board game playing, painting, dice rolling, and sharing our love of everything games with you. We look forward to having many more exciting and fun filled years to come. 


Saturdays are always a great day to come and play Magic: The Gathering at Gamer's Inn. We have several events going on and there is always a chance for some casual pick up games as well. Kicking off our Saturday Magic, we have a Commander Tournament at 11:00am. This unique format uses 100 card decks that players build around a card they choose to be their commander. Since all the cards in the deck have to be unique (with the exception of basic land), Commander provides players a chance to really get creative with their deck building. Plus, the free for all style of play is fun and engaging! There are prizes awarded to top players at the end of the tournament.

Then at 2:00pm, it is time to get your Standard on. Standard Showdown is back in full swing and we had a great turnout last week. Standard Showdown is a great opportunity for player's to test out their decks as we approach our Store Championship event. Make sure to mark your calendars for that on April 7th at 11:30am. As always with our Standard Showdown events, they are FREE and there are great prizes to be won. Top players will win a special Standard Showdown booster that contains

• 2 rare or mythic rare cards from a currently legal Standard set
• 1 foil basic land with art by Rebecca Guay
• 1 foil card of any rarity from a currently legal Standard set

Another World, Another Time, In the Age of Wonder! Will Jen and Kira manage to find the Shard and heal the Dark Crystal? This game is available for preorder and will be on our shelves soon!	The 'shufflebuilding' game Smash Up starts with a simple premise: Take the twenty-card decks of two factions, shuffle them into a forty-card deck, then compete to smash more Bases than your opponents! Each faction brings a different game mechanism into play and every combination of factions brings a different play experience as you try to conquer the bases. Sound easy? How easy is it when an opponent`s Alien-Ninja decides to Beam Up your minions to other Bases - flat out Assassinate them? Or what if you faced a Zombie-Dinosaur player instead and he created an Outbreak of massive beasts all at once?!?	On the first and third Tuesday of the month we host a Star Wars: X-Wing Game Night. Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures Game is a tactical ship-to-ship combat game in which players take control of powerful Rebel X-wings, nimble Imperial TIE fighters or tenacious Scum and Villiany, facing them against each other in fast-paced space combat. Come and learn how to play or put your squadron to the test against other players. Play starts at 7:00pm and new games will start throughout the night.
